Elle a \u00e9dit\u00e9 un manuel des \u00e9tudes shakespeariennes (<em>Shakespeare-Handbuch<\/em> 1972, 5<sup>e<\/sup> \u00e9dition 2009). Son livre <em>Shakespeares, <\/em>publi\u00e9 en 2013, pr\u00e9sente une gamme de la tr\u00e8s grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 des images qu\u2019on s\u2019est fait de l\u2019auteur myst\u00e9rieux.\u00a0 Depuis des ann\u00e9es 1990 elle s\u2019est engag\u00e9e pour la promotion des \u00e9tudes f\u00e9ministes de la litt\u00e9rature. Elle a publi\u00e9 une histoire de la litt\u00e9rature anglaise sous les aspects de <em>gender studies <\/em>(en deux tomes 1997 et 2006). Recemment elle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir et \u00e9tudier les autrices fran\u00e7aises du xvii<sup>e <\/sup>et xviii<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent sous-estim\u00e9es, et leur relations avec la litt\u00e9rature anglaise.
